VISAKHAPATNAM: Two workers died and four others were hospitalised following benzimidazole gas leakage from the Sainor Life Sciences pharma company at Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City (JNPC), Parawada in Visakhapatnam in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The deal gave the drugmaker rights to sell in 48 countries, including Australia as well as markets in Asia, South America and Europe.
On January 28, 2016, the Kolkata Patent Office’s, Bhaskar Ghosh, Assistant Controller of Patents and Designs, (Kolkata Patent Office) issued an Order allowing JANSSEN PHARMACEUTICA N.V.’s (Company) Indian Patent Application Number 3301/KOLNP/2008 (Patent Application) to proceed to grant. The Patent Application is “directed to novel 2-substituted benzimidazole derivatives, pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use in the treatment of disorders and conditions modulated by the androgen receptor”. JANSSEN, the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson, operates in India through Johnson & Johnson Private Limited, which has had its brand in India for the last sixty-seven (67) years.
