DNP Fine Chemicals traces its roots back to Moroboshi Chiyokichi Shoten, which was founded in 1891 as Japan’s first printing ink manufacturer. The business subsequently grew as Japanese society developed, and it changed its name to The Ink Tech Co., Ltd. in 1991. Then it spun off one of its core units, the domestic printing ink business, in 2009 and took its current name, DNP Fine Chemicals Co. Ltd. in 2010.
