Microsin SRL is the only Romanian manufacturer of pharmaceutical active ingredients. The company was set up on 20 May 1991 by Eng. Ioan Gârbea, who at that time had 25 year-experience in research and in the development of pharmaceutical active ingredients. Its activity began in a building rented within Sicomed factory premises (currently Zentiva). In September 2006, the management finished the building of a production unit for pharmaceutical active ingredients compliant with EU-GMP regulations. In September 2010, Microsin obtained the CEP certification for its product Piracetam, and in May, 2012 obtained the CEP certification for Metopropol tartrate. Within its 20 years of existence, Microsin has developed more than 100 pharmaceutical active ingredients and with the support of its research team has created an impressive number of pharmaceutical active ingredients and chemical reagents. Due to a very well-managed quality control department, Microsin has ASMFs for all its products. Moreover, we offer our clients a build-up service for ASMFs for their own products or for products imported from non-EU countries. Another important service we offer our clients is the purification of chemical substances and the analysis of ASMFs, including the synthesis process used by the pharmaceutical active ingredients producer. During its existence, the company purified over 500 tonnes of pharmaceutical ingredients coming from China or India.
