In 2008, we embarked on a mission to make toxic cleaning products obsolete, founding PURWORLD Technologies located in Dallas, Texas. From a safety and compliance perspective, we recognized that current practices were inadequate and dangerous. People at home and at work were using toxic cleaning products on a regular basis. These chemicals were often so harmful when exposed to skin that they required gloves. We saw the hypocrisy of toxic cleaning products being used to maintain the so-called green buildings and infrastructures. We also witnessed the harmful effects that these workers experienced as a result of toxic exposures.
