Our patented PharmFilm® technology platform enables a wide range of pharmaceutical products to be delivered buccally, sublingually, enterally and through other mucosal surfaces for the improvement of healthcare for patients. The Company’s leadership in film drug delivery is supported by strong intellectual property, a portfolio of commercialized prescription drug products and a pipeline of prescription formulations based on PharmFilm® technology, and two FDA approvals: Zuplenz® (ondansetron) oral soluble film 4 mg and 8 mg The first approved prescription oral soluble film for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced, radiotherapy-induced, and postoperative nausea and vomiting. Suboxone® (buprenorphine and naloxone) sublingual film 2 mg/0.5 mg and 8 mg/2 mg CIII The first sublingual film product for the treatment of opioid dependence. For patients, MonoSol Rx’s aim is to develop drugs that are easier to take, non-invasive and use less drug for the same effect. Specifically, PharmFilm® offers the greatest impact in patient populations where compliance may be a challenge – pediatric, geriatric and psychiatric – or where convenience and onset-of-action are essential – asthma, diabetes, migraine and ADHD. For pharmaceutical partners, MonoSol Rx’s value proposition is two-fold. PharmFilm® creates differentiated products that are ideal for extending the revenue lifecycle for drugs with patent lives that have expired or are approaching expiration.
