In 2007, Laboratórios Basi were synergistically integrated in a pharmaceutical Group, which potentiated a strong growth based on a profound strategic reorientation and heavy investment. The intent of the Group of creating a solid industrial arm led to the construction of the Laboratory of Quality Control and a new State of the Art Manufacturing unit, defining a new strategic direction, positioning Laboratórios Basi as an industrial leading international player of high competitive level, currently present in 4 continents and over 20 countries. We have a solid know-how in the pharmaceutical sector, resulting from more than 50 years of experience. The constant evolution and innovation characterise our success story. The continuous efforts on developing and acquiring new products, enables Basi to have a wide portfolio of more than 200 registered medicinal products for human use, covering more than 50 therapeutic areas. The new manufacturing site, currently with an approximate area of 6,500 m2 and with an installed capacity of 45 million units per year, is dedicated to the Development and Manufacture of Liquid and Semi-solid dosage forms (oral and topical), being connected to a new state of the art Quality Control unit. The new production unit currently has manufacturing lines with high a technological component and automation level, allowing the maximization of the efficiency in the processes, ensuring high technical manufacturing under a rigorous and highly competitive conditions. Our Quality is certified by the auditing and accreditation of various competent regulatory authorities, national and international, being this the first intent and the leverage for our reference and prominence in the global pharmaceutical market.
