We manufacture a complete line of food and beverage preservatives, flavor and fragrance intermediates, plasticizers and other additives - all with a focus on quality, reliability and innovation. Emerald Kalama Chemical has been a trusted supplier for over 50 years, both as Emerald and as a part of our predecessor organizations. Both our facilities were originally built by Dow Chemical in the 1960’s and are now among the largest and most efficient toluene oxidation processes of their kind in the world. Today, Emerald Kalama Chemical is the leading global producer of benzoic acid, benzaldehyde, benzyl alcohol, sodium and potassium benzoate and specialty derivatives such as hexyl cinnamic aldehyde, linear aldehydes and performance additives such as K-FLEX® dibenzoate plasticizers and coalescents. Our business is focused on three product segments: Benzoates and Intermediates Aroma Chemicals/Flavor and Fragrance K-FLEX® Non-Phthalate Plasticizers and Coalescents Emerald Kalama Chemical has made a major investment in our technology.
