    The ESCA Group is a fourth generation family firm. The Group includes Emanuele Centonze SA, based in Chiasso (Ticino) with a branch in Flawil (St. Gallen), the sister company ECSA Italia S.r.l. based in Desio (Milan), and since 2012 Porta Ticino Easy Stop SA. Since 1913 the Group has been involved in international trading and distribution in the RAW MATERIALS, ENERGY and MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS sectors. This business model means that the ECSA Group offers its customers in these business segments a complete ‘one-stop shopping’ solution. The Group currently employs 240 people, 2 of whom are handicapped and 9 are apprentices in various professions. The ECSA Group is headquartered in Balerna, Switzerland, and the company's geographic position along the main European north-south transport route gives it a distinct competitive advantage in logistics. The company has extensive warehouse storage capacity in Balerna and Flawil and is equipped to handle the mixing and measuring of solid and liquid products. There is easy transportation by road, via the nearby motorway, as well as by rail due to the company's own railway link. The sales organisation and the facilities (with offices and warehouses in Milan) of ECSA Italia Srl represent an excellent operational base for exporting to the whole of the European Union. Porta Ticino Easy Stop SA is one of the principle motorway service area operations in Europe, further strengthening the strategic position of the Energy Business Unit in Switzerland.
