Dr. Davidson is currently CEO of New Amsterdam Pharma, and was previously the founding CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Corvidia Therapeutics, which was acquired by Novo-Nordisk in 2020. He also co-founded Omthera Pharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Astra Zeneca.
Co-founded by Nessan Bermingham and banking $91.5 million in Series A funding in September, RNA editing startup Korro Bio has tapped Ram Aiyar as their first CEO. Aiyar, who began as a research scientist in the immunology group at Janssen in the late 2000s, co-founded Corvidia Therapeutics in 2016 and was also their CFO and CBO along the way. Back in June, Aiyar helped steer the sale of Corvidia to Novo Nordisk for $2.1 billion, including $725 million upfront. With the deal, Novo Nordisk inserted Corvidia’s IL-6 inhibitor ziltivekimab into their pipeline.

Novo Nordisk announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Corvidia Therapeutics, a privately held, clinical stage company focused on the research and development of transformative therapies for cardio-renal diseases. Under the terms of the agreement, Novo Nordisk will acquire all outstanding shares of Corvidia Therapeutics for an upfront payment of $725M in cash.
