In the present study an attempt has been made to evaluate Ocimum bascilium mucilage coprocessed with Mannitol as a novel super disintegrant. Coprocessed excipients were prepared by solvent evaporation method and evaluated in the formulation of mouth dissolving tablets of Terbutaline sulphate.
The competent authority of Sweden has issued a non-compliance report following an inspection of Astra Zeneca’s plant in India in accordance with Art. 111(7) of Directive 2001/83/EC as amended. The report concludes that the company does not comply with the Good Manufacturing Practice requirements referred to in The principles of GMP for active substances referred to in Article 47 of Directive 2001/83/EC. The Inspection was carried out with respect to the API TERBUTALINE SULPHATE . The regulator has prohibited export of the API to the EU.
