Summary: Belgium and ethylene glycol

Belgium :  As our friends in Paris continue to recover from the attacks on 13 November, Belgium is now on alert. While it is unclear whether transportation will be impacted by the heightened conditions, I've checked my personal supply chain map which shows potential delays on these materials manufactured in Belgium:

Acetone

DEOA,Diethanolamine

MEOA, Monoethanolamine

TEOA, Triethanolamine

Touch base with your Belgium partners to see how you can support them. I’m sure your patience will be appreciated.

Ethylene Glycol: Lyondell is easing up on their allocation of ethylene glycol (EG) to 90% after declaring FM in October. EG is a building block for materials like polyester used in ESD bags and polyethylene terephthalate resins (PET) used in bottling as well as antifreeze formulations and polyethylene glycol (PEGs).
