Also known as: Carbopol 71g nf
Carbomer Homopolymer is a high molecular weight polymer of acrylic acid cross-linked with allyl ethers of polyalcohols. Carbomer Homopolymer, previously dried, contains not less than 56.0 percent and not more than 68.0 percent of carboxylic acid groups. Ethyl acetate is used as residual solvent in the production of carbomer homopolymer type A. It acts as rheology modifiers or controlled release agents in liquid, semisolid and solid dosage forms.
    Applications: Carbopol® 71G NF polymer is widely used in oral solid dose applications.The unique feature of this polymer is its granular form due to which it is used in direct compression formulations. The residual solvent in Carbopol 71G NF is Ethyl acetate.
